Description
Pharmacological category:
Anabolic-androgenic steroid
Anabolic activity index: 400%
Androgenic activity index: 260%
Mechanism of action of the drug:
Trenbolone acetate, an androgenic/anabolic steroid, is a potent androgen receptor agonist that has long been used as a growth promoter. Trenbolone acetate is a progestin, meaning it is not converted to estrogen. Trenbolone acetate leads to increased weight gain, improved feed conversion efficiency, lower RNA and DNA concentrations in muscle, and reduced activity of free cathepsin D in muscle. Trenbolone acetate has a half-life of one day in the bloodstream.
Side effects:
Insomnia, increased blood pressure, heightened hostility, acne, alopecia, and increased oiliness are possible side effects of trenbolone. Testicular atrophy, due to a significant reduction in testosterone production, leads to decreased libido and slow erections. Prolactin-induced gynecomastia may also occur.
Dosage:
Trenbolone acetate is administered by intramuscular injection. It must not be given intravenously. Intramuscular injections should be given deep into the gluteal muscle.
Effective dose: 200–500 mg per week.
