Description
Pharmacological category:
Anabolic-androgenic steroids
Anabolic activity index: 100%
Androgenic activity index: 100%
Mechanism of action:
Testonon P contains testosterone propionate, an oil-soluble form of the androgenic hormone testosterone, more precisely the compound 4-androstene-3-one, 17beta-ol for intramuscular injection. A short ester is attached to the testosterone propionate, meaning that 100 mg of testosterone propionate contains 83.72 mg of active testosterone. This concentration is higher than that of other ester-based testosterone preparations with comparable total dosages.
Side effects:
Testosterone propionate is generally considered safe and rarely causes side effects at normal doses. The liver and kidneys are not usually affected unless taken in excessive amounts. However, possible side effects include acne, gynecomastia, and suppression of natural testosterone production. Post-cycle therapy with anti-estrogens is recommended. Other possible side effects include testicular atrophy, decreased sperm production, increased aggression, voice changes, and increased libido.
Dosage:
Testosterone propionate is administered by intramuscular injection, not intravenously. Injections should be given deep into the gluteal muscle.
Effective dosage: 300–700 mg per week.
